4. 2. It can be overwhelming to try to think about things that can help all young children in North Carolina. One of the ways to make this task more manageable is to start by thinking and reflecting on a real child that you know or knew when they were around 5 years old. Think of a child that you believe has the foundation to become a productive, healthy and fully engaged adult. It can be someone you knew in the past. It can be your own child; a niece or nephew; a student; a neighbor; or someone you’ve read about. Now, that you have the child in your mind, think about and respond to this question.
